K SHOW 2013

Brampton Engineering (BE) will be exhibiting at the 2013 K in Dusseldorf.

The Brampton Engineering booth, located in Hall 17, A22 provides the flexible packaging industry with an opportunity to learn about the latest innovations in web handling and die technology.

Brampton Engineering manufactures some of the world’s most sophisticated blown film equipment, with a global install base for both water quenched and air cooled blown film lines, BE’s customers rely upon the company to provide them with high efficiency lines to manufacture premium quality films.

Throughout the K Show, BE will have available Process, Rheology and Engineering experts to specify customised solutions and provide advice on upgrading existing lines.

Brampton Engineering has a global install base of their water quenched blown film technology, with leaders in flexible packaging having purchased multiple lines to satisfy growing demand for this premium quality, clear blown film.

The market proven Aquafrost blown film line from Brampton Engineering rapidly quenches the blown film in a water bath, preventing the formation of crystalline structures. The resulting film has gloss and haze qualities that are superior to those achieved with a cast film process, making it ideal for retail packaging and medical applications. In tests undertaken in partnership with leading resin companies it was proven that this type of film has many advantages over both conventional blown and cast films; including excellent tensile strength, elongation characteristics and puncture resistance.

Aquafrost blown film performs significantly better than cast film for thermoformed packaging; not only are the packs more visually appealing, they have a greater draw depth and higher puncture resistance enabling more product to be packed. The absence of odor makes an Aquafrost film an ideal replacement for PVC, whilst the high gloss finish and ease of conversion to bags and pouches makes the film highly attractive to the food industry.
